BJP is More Organised in Meghalaya Than in 2018: Bernard N. Marak

The political scene in Meghalaya has been heating up with the upcoming Assembly polls in 2023. One of the key players in the political arena is BJP, and as per the recent news report, it is much more organized than in 2018. Bernard N. Marak, the BJP leader, confirms the same and adds, "The party has come a long way in the last three years, and we are better prepared to tackle the upcoming polls."

In an exclusive interview with The Hindu, Bernard N. Marak spoke in detail about BJP's preparation for the upcoming polls and the challenges that lie ahead. He stated that the party has been working tirelessly to strengthen its base in the region and is confident of garnering more support than in 2018, when it won just 2 seats out of 60.

Bernard N. Marak, who is also known as Bernard Rimpu N. Marak, shed light on the role of the party's organizational setup in the state's politics. He stated, "The party has become much more structured than before, and there is a sense of unity among party workers. The party's organizational setup has been strengthened under the leadership of J.P. Nadda, and there is more cohesion among the leaders."

The BJP leader went on to say that the party's internal democracy has also improved, and there is more transparency in the decision-making process. This, he says, has helped the party attract more people to its fold, especially in the Garo Hills region, where he hails from.

However, the path ahead for BJP is not going to be easy, and Bernard N. Marak acknowledges this fact. He says, "The incumbent Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma wants to finish me off politically as I am becoming his strongest critic and challenger in the Garo Hills."

Bernard N. Marak, a former MLA from Dalu and a senior politician in the region, has been vocal in his criticism of Conrad K. Sangma's governance. He has accused the CM of corruption and not fulfilling the promises made to the people.

Despite the challenges, Bernard N. Marak has a positive outlook on the party's prospects in the upcoming polls. He believes that the party's work in the region will be recognized by the people, and BJP will be able to increase its tally in the Assembly.

In conclusion, BJP's improved organizational setup in Meghalaya is a promising sign for the party's future in the region. The upcoming Assembly polls will be a litmus test for the party's preparedness, and if Bernard N. Marak's words are anything to go by, BJP is poised for a good performance.
